Measure the finished kit before choosing a position. Allow for any switches, cables or battery access described in its instructions. A stable, dry surface makes a better home than a crowded ledge.

Let the scene set the mood.

A few nearby books in complementary colours can help the details stand out. Keep larger objects to one side and leave a little breathing room in front.

Look after the little details.

Follow the product’s care guidance. Avoid moisture, direct heat and harsh cleaning products. If the kit includes lighting, use only the power arrangement specified by its manufacturer.
